All decked out for Christmas

I'd say it's beginning to look like Christmas here at Dulaney Woods but the truth is we've already had one Christmas celebration here over Thanksgiving with my family.  As you can see our big tree was loaded with presents (in the sitting room).  My family always goes a little crazy at this time of year...LOL. ;0)
Here is our family room tree....it's our new twig tree.  I actually got it after Christmas last year so I got a great deal other wise we wouldn't have it.
Our dining room is all decked out as it always is with our feather tree...it has my grandmother's glass ornaments on it.
A close-up of some lovely snowfolk.

These sweet boxes came today from Hanway Mill House....I ordered them at the wonderful York PA Folk Art show right before Thanksgiving. I love Barb's boxes she does such a beautiful job she has a Etsy shop too.
The sofa in our sitting room with it's sweet Christmas pillows.
My basket of snowfolk (from many different artists) and my big sweet teddy holding a gingerbread boy. I just love having all these treasures out.

Here's the door way into our kitchen.
Here is a close-up of the sign on the door handle to the left.  This was the secret Santa gift I received from my Folk Art and Primitives sister Pat of "The Sunflower Cupboard".:0)
I also took a picture of our entry way because I have some lovely Christmas things in there but I feel it needs some work...not sure what I will do but it looks a bit naked... maybe a new primitive shelf above the window... here is what it looks like now.
It just looks naked....I'm sure I'll figure it out.  Hoping to hit a primitive store this week so I'm sure I'll find something that works.  Any suggestions...it's not a big space...pretty much what you see is it.  Anyway it's a work in progress. :0)
Hope this post finds you all getting into the spirit of Christmas.  I also hope you are all happy and healthy too.
Hugs,
Theresa

  5. I just love all of your decorations :-) Your home looks so warm and welcoming! For the entry way may a darker colored valance for the window with a little shelf and a few framed pics or stitcheries? I like clutter so I see a few blank spaces on a wall and I start thinking of what I can put there to fill it up, lol! Above some of my windows and doorways I use old barn wood ladders turned sideways and then I cut put little things on them, for Christmas I hang garland and little stockings on them.. Hope this helps a little :-) Have fun finding treasures to sill the spaces :-) Have a wonderful day!! Hugs~Melissa
