The day is sunny and warm here at Dulaney Woods Treasures. It's so beautiful that my little one and I are going out to look for rabbits and flowers. I wonder if we'll find any today? If not... at least I can look at my stitch in progress for a bunny and a few flowers. :0)
This beautiful pinkeep drum will go to my best friend for her birthday in early March. As you can see I'm almost done with the stitching...just the flower basket and bottom border before I can start assembling it. This is the first time I've stitched this lovely pattern but I get a feeling it wont be the last time. Even though I am not a big Easter girl I do have a few Easter decorations that I put out. I think this one would be a wonderful addition to my very small collection of goodies. If any of you are wondering who the pattern is by it's a Stacy Nash pattern. It is being stitched on 32 ct Platinum linen with Gentle Arts threads. Well we should be off for our walk and to soak up some of that wonderful sunshine. I hope today has been a happy day for you all...and thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Theresa

My Swap with Amy from Bumble Bee Lane
A month ago I signed up to do a wonderful swap on Bumble Bee Lane's blog. I was lucky enough to get the owner of that blog as my partner. I know many of you know how kind hearted Amy is and generous too. I have to say she out did her self with this wonderful box of goodies. The heart she made is divine and the bunny wax figure smells heavenly. The doll and her little hope chest are so sweet together. I don't know how Amy knew it but strawberries are my favorite...and I love the little pin keep. Thank you Amy for everything... I treasure the time and energy you put into this swap to make it so very special. I'll swap with you any time!!! On another note I want to thank all of you for your words of encouragement and for cheering me on in this new adventure. I look forward to sharing with you all. I hope your day is a happy one. Hugs,
Theresa

Girls Club
I just finished this alphabet pin keep yesterday. Some of you know that Stacy Nash is one of my favorite cross-stitch designers. Her work is beautiful and I only wish I could dream up the patterns she does. This particular pattern is from a girls club that I belong to. It really is a great club if you are interested take a look at the Country Sampler Store's website...they offer these exclusive kits through their website (http://sgcountrysampler.com/wp/).
Well that's about all I have to share today. I hope to post pictures of my "Heart of Winter" swap with Amy from Bumble Bee Lane the next time I post . Hope your day is a happy one.Saturday, January 21, 2012
Getting started
After a few years of thinking about a blog... I've decided that it's time to create one. For the past few years people have asked me to start one but I put it off thinking that I had nothing interesting to say...but maybe I do. I guess I'll let my readers decide if I'm interesting enough...LOL.
