Crazy few weeks

I can't believe two weeks has gone bye since my last post. It's been a bit crazy here with my Endoscopy, Gallbladder sonogram, construction workers working on the house, regular doctors appointments, family coming to visit, a birthday party for our little one and for my best friend Holly. As if this wasn't enough I managed to go to a quilt show and to finish my "Salem Village" cross-stitch.
Here are a few pictures that I took at the Lancaster Spring Quilt show. All the quilts were beautiful but for me the dragon quilt was the real jewel. I wish there was a card that told who the artist was....it said do not touch on it so I couldn't even see if there was a label on the back.

As I said above we also had a few birthday's to celebrate. Our little one turned two...it's so hard to believe he's two already...children grow so fast. I think he really had a fantastic birthday. :0)Grandma helped with the cake decorating....isn't it sweet...Silas loves Thomas and his friends so it was perfect having Edward on his cake after all he is the #2 engine.
Here's Silas riding in his new wagon with his best buddy.....of course it was Daddy powered...LOL. Below is a picture of Holly opening the pinkeep and bunny I made her...she was surprised and she said "Girl you're getting really good!". Holly is the type of gal that tells me the truth no matter what. I think that's why we get along so well.Any way I think I will leave you with these lovely photos for now. I hope to have my "Salem Village" cross-stitch framed in a few weeks. I will show you my finish then. It seems only fitting since it took me five months to complete it... LOL.
I hope this post finds you all happy and healthy.
Hugs,
Theresa

Cats, witches, & stitches

I was going to post last week...but I kept putting it off because I figured I'd get these sweet witches & kitties done. I'm sure you know how it goes each day passed without me getting enough time to finish them. Well last night I finally got them done.... with one small exception. The witch on the far right is missing her little basket of goodies for her potions. I ran out of baskets but that's not a big deal because she's staying here with me. I always make dolls that I love and want to keep myself. :0) The other witches and kitties will be going to family members with the exception of two....they will be listed in my Etsy shop soon. Anyway I used a lovely pattern from Pam Gracia "Soft in The Head" called "Elvira Stump & Winthrop". I have always loved Pam's creations and I'm proud to say I own several of her originals. If you love these sweeties and want to try your hand at her patterns check out her website http://www.softinthehead.com/ .
I also finished these three Easter pincushions..they're for a few Easter baskets. I loved the way Rene's turned out so much I decided that I needed to make a few others. I stitched them on Osnaburg with DMC threads and then stained them with walnut stain. You can get the free pattern on Primitive Betty's blog http://primitivebettys.blogspot.com/Finally last of all a work in progress. I've been working on this beautiful cross-stitch since last October. It's a Notforgotten Farm pattern http://farmhousenotforgotten.blogspot.com/ called "Salem Village". It's been taking me so long to stitch because it's 40ct linen and man is that small....good thing I have a daylight and bifocals other wise I don't think I could stitch it. I love how it is looking though. Plus I have to admit I've put it aside to do smaller projects. I hope to finish this sweetie soon though and have it hanging near our fireplace....maybe even over it...who knows.
Well I guess that's all for now. I hope all of you are doing well and that we'll see you again soon. Take care my friends. :0)
Hugs,
Theresa
